The More You Know Gaming: The Atari Lynx! | GTV Japan
This video talks about the Atari Lynx, a portable game system that was ahead of its time. If you are like me, you aren't very familiar with this system, and this video from GTV Japan will help remedy that. I have always been a fan of portable gaming, and I love collecting games and systems from the world of gaming on the go. The Atari Lynx was not as popular in North America as systems such as Gameboy and Game Gear, so I never knew about it till more recently.
The Atari Lynx is a hybrid 8-bit and 16-bit handheld game console released by Atari Corporation in September 1989. The Atari Lynx was the first color handheld. A very cool feature is the switchable right- and left-handed (upside down) configuration, so a left-handed person can turn it upside down and play more comfortably. Very progressive. I have seen one of these in a used store here in Italy, but I didn't pick it up. Perhaps I will add the Atari Lynx to my collection someday. It would be a neat addition.
